'Little Black Dress'-How Important Is It?

Women ONLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Question:

My girlfriend has been pestering me to write this for a month, so finally I can get some peace and quiet. She's been invited to a v. important black and white themed party but doesn't know what to wear. She wants to make an impression but has never been to one so is v. nervous. Should she go for the simple black dress, or go for something more out there and daring?

Answers:

1) "Hmm, depends on her persona. If she just wants to be classy/classic, you can not beat the simple but stunning black dress, topped up with a few matching items of jewellery. If she chose the black [or even white] depending on hair length etc, she could use a classic white slide/hair access if wearing the black or vice versa for the white - the main thing [in my opinion] is that she feels comfy in what she is wearing, otherwise it will make her feel more nervous and uncomfortable."

2) "Little black dress with a cut to suite her shape but the key is hair, jewels and shoes. Slick classic hair style, diamonds that sparkle not blind and sexy simple black strap heels. Great idea is a black dress with open or plunging back line, gold snake chain draped down her back with gem/diamonds dangle on the ends. Keep it classy with an edge, open back dress implies no bra so adds a hint of sexy confidence."

Question:

Thanks for the reponses ladies.

I was just wandering...What is it with women and little black dresses - why do you love them so much?I don't understand why some women have so many, aren't they all the same?

Answers

1) "Why? easy, smart, sexy and you can match anything with the good ol black dress.Chuckle - I have just the one, but some, guess they have more than one in various styles for various occasions etc - so no, they are not all the same."

2) "Most women wear black, in my opinion, because it hides a lot of the "body imperfections" and makes us look thinner than we actually are...or so we think!Having said that, if your gf is nervous about this and it's her first time going to such event, I would recommend she wear a classy black dress that accentuates only one part of her body...For example, wear a short dress to show the legs (but is conservative at the top), OR a longer dress that exposes the upper body (shoulders and chest).Good luck."
